Job Details

• Certifications & Education: ARRT (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, BCLS - Basic Life Support. Additional preferred certifications include Vascular/Interventional Radiography Certification and relevant state licensure.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of vascular or interventional experience.
• Specialty: Interventional Radiology CL.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include:
  • Completing angiography procedures, scrubbing, setting techniques, and imaging.
  • Maintaining licensure and certifications required for the role.
  • Providing procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech according to lab policies and scope of practice.
  • Operating IR equipment and ensuring quality imaging.
  • Ensuring proper patient identification, prep, and safety.
  • Assisting with procedures such as SIRT mapping, embolizations, neph tube placements, biliary tube placements, CT-guided procedures, and neuro-IR stroke diagnostics.
  • Developing knowledge of supplies, applications, and deployment techniques.
  • Following protocol for medical necessity, coding, documentation, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring patient comfort and education, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintaining work area and supplies, transporting patients as needed, and assisting with specific minimally invasive procedures.
  • Recognizing emergent patient situations and responding effectively.
• Submission: Candidates must be able to demonstrate competency in radiography, operating imaging equipment, patient care, sterile techniques, and emergency procedures.
