TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Short Stay PCU RN — Assignment Details
Unit: 8-bed observation unit

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience and 1 completed travel assignment
• Background in observation or MedSurg/Telemetry
• Wisconsin RN license, BLS and ACLS; AHA or ARC accepted
• NIHSS highly preferred
• Epic experience required
• Ability to interpret cardiac strips; EKG exam required during compliance
• Strong independent practice, time management, teamwork and adaptability

Schedule and patient care

• Ratio: 1:4
• Patients: Anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration and pre/post-op urology and GI patients
• Drips: Cardizem, nitroglycerin, insulin and heparin
• Patient flow: Stays typically up to 48 hours, with frequent admissions and discharges
• Floating: All inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU
• Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Scrubs: Any color
