Job Description

Maintenance Mechanic

Maintain production equipment, machinery, facilities, and grounds to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation while supporting a zero-defect quality environment.

Requirements of the Maintenance Mechanic

Strong mechanical aptitude through trade school or relevant maintenance experience.
Basic electrical knowledge with a willingness to continue learning.
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance.
Knowledge of production equipment and plant operations.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
Ability to machine parts using lathes, mills, and welding equipment.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic

Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and return machinery to production-ready condition.
Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in partnership with Production.
Perform equipment setups and changeovers as needed.
Assist with installation, startup, and qualification of new equipment.
Identify and implement safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, including parts and labor, using RedZone.
Review equipment documentation and update preventive maintenance schedules.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop and work areas.
Assist with facility and equipment projects under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
Work with and train machine operators as needed.

2nd and 3rd shift available, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $35.00 - $40.00 an hour, willing to pay more based on experience
