Career Level: Senior Location: Long Beach or Irvine, CAGeneral ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead and support all phases of engineering projects—from proposal development through construction completion—this role will be dedicated exclusively to healthcare facilities. You'll apply advanced design principles, perform complex calculations and modeling, and prepare construction estimates and specifications. You'll also manage project budgets, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to business development efforts.Pre-Design EngineeringReview existing as-built drawingsPerform field investigationsCoordinate design schedules and deliverablesConduct feasibility studiesPrepare schematic designsDesign EngineeringDesign power single line and riser diagramsDesign low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure.Design for electrical equipment (substation, switchboard, transformer, panelboard) replacement projects.Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards.Have a working knowledge of National Electrical Code and Energy Standards to design electrical systems.Perform QAQC for electrical designCoordination among different disciplines, such as mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural. Work in close contact with the entire design team.Experience with low-voltage building systems (fire alarm, security, voice/data, nurse call) is a plusEducation & CertificationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldEngineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferredLEED accreditation is a plusPE license is a plusExperience Required10+ years of electrical design experience in healthcare or commercial buildingsAbility to lead projects from concept through constructionStrong understanding of healthcare codes and standardsExperience using NEC, AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and RevitFamiliarity with: California Building Code and National Electrical CodeHCAI/OSHPD standardsNet Zero Energy/Carbon design (a plus)Project management (preferred)What sets P2S|CMTA apart?
