JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for supporting the organization's quality management system through inspection activities, process audits, calibration management, training support, document control, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position works closely with production personnel and management to ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal procedures, regulatory standards, and quality objectives.
Essential Functions

1. Perform daily process audits to ensure compliance with established procedures and quality standards.
2. Conduct quality inspections of valves and related products.
3. Perform random valve retests as required.
4. Maintain and track calibration schedules and records utilizing GageTrack.
5. Perform internal calibrations and coordinate offsite calibrations as necessary.
6. Assist with test rack troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
7. Conduct basic failure analysis on returned OEM and repair materials with guidance from the Quality Manager.
8. Assist in training Repair Technicians I, II, and III on quality requirements and processes.
9. Maintain training records for personnel within assigned production cell areas.
10. Maintain working knowledge of NYAB IPM requirements and AAR M-1003, Section J standards.
11. Assist with document control activities, ensuring procedures, work instructions, and records remain accurate and current.
12. Monitor shop floor activities and communicate any questionable practices, quality concerns, or process deviations to appropriate personnel, supervisors, and management.
13. Assist in ensuring all documented work processes and procedures are followed.
14. Maintain a strong quality-focused approach in addressing production and operational issues.
15. Support quality initiatives, continuous improvement activities, and corrective action efforts.
16. Understand, support, and comply with all Quality, Product Safety, Health, Safety, Environmental, and Energy policies.
17. Understand and adhere to all applicable statutory, regulatory, and customer requirements.
18. Understand, support, and comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) policies, procedures, and work instructions.
19. Understand and support relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as defined by company objectives.

Work Environment :
The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Three to Five years of related experience.
