Job Title: Surgical Technologist Job Summary As a Surgical Technologist, you will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that surgical procedures are conducted smoothly and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and assisting during surgeries. Responsibilities and Duties Prepare operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment. Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating their needs. Prepare and maintain sterile fields. Assist with patient positioning and draping. Monitor patients during surgery and provide appropriate assistance as needed. Ensure proper disposal of used supplies and equipment. Assist with transferring patients to recovery room post‑surgery. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited surgical technology program. Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment. Ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.
