Compliance Coordinator

Title: Compliance Coordinator Location: Abbott Park, IL Duration: 12 Months Remote Primary Responsibilities Coordinates global compliance workflows — Supports end‑to‑end documentation and approval processes for systems such as Global Pre‑Approval, Third‑Party Compliance, and other enterprise compliance platforms. Ensures required materials are collected, complete, and submitted within defined timelines. Manages documentation processes — Maintains accurate records, tracks submission status, and ensures documentation meets quality and regulatory expectations. Uses standard tools and templates to support consistency across regions. Supports project planning — Assists in preparing project schedules, task lists, and resource estimates by working with appropriate staff to understand scope and requirements. Tracks execution and approvals — Monitors progress of compliance submissions, identifies delays or risks, and escalates issues as needed. Helps develop and execute contingency plans to maintain timelines. Ensures quality and compliance — Applies standard operating procedures, compliance guidelines, and quality‑system requirements to all assigned tasks. Works with Quality and Compliance partners to ensure documentation accuracy and audit readiness. Communicates status updates — Prepares routine status reports, dashboards, and summaries for internal stakeholders. Participates in team meetings and provides updates on documentation and approval progress. Resolves process issues — Works with cross‑functional partners to troubleshoot documentation gaps, system issues, or approval bottlenecks. Ensures timely resolution and clear communication. Supports internal teams — Shares process knowledge, provides guidance on compliance workflows, and assists colleagues in navigating global systems and approval pathways. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of compliance processes , documentation management, or regulated‑environment workflows preferred. General understanding of business unit functions and cross‑functional collaboration. Ability to work within a quality‑system environment ; failure to adequately perform tasks may result in non‑compliance with regulatory requirements. Strong organizational skills with the ability to analyze information, identify issues, and exercise judgment within defined procedures. Broad understanding of process alternatives and their impact on system and compliance environments.
