Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 9.5 hours Experience: 2 years required License: South Carolina nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: IV start, Circulate, Telemetry, Conscious Sedation Hemodynamic monitoring and PACS experience preferred Description: The position is for dayshift, Monday through Friday. Call requirements include rotating evening, nights, weekends, and holidays. Call details: 1-2 days per week and every third weekend. Call starts at the end of the shift until 6 AM (Monday through Thursday) and 7 AM (Friday). Saturday call from 7 AM to 7 AM Sunday. Sunday call from 7 AM to 6 AM. Typically, 1-3 cases per week with a 2-hour response time. You will also work in the holding department. This role involves adult patients with a variety of disease processes. Required skills include IV start, circulating in procedures, telemetry, and conscious sedation. Additional skills such as hemodynamic monitoring and experience with PACS are preferred. Any background hits or licensure actions will disqualify candidates. This role requires performing various procedures including diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, interventional radiology, and more. Must be comfortable working with adult and geriatric patients in a procedural area. The facility maintains compliance with standards, including appropriate orientation for new units. Expect to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff. Floating may be required within the hospital based on staffing needs.
