Porter - Part-Time

Porter Come join us at Lourdes Noreen-McKeen Residence! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1960. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. We are seeking to hire a Porter - Part-Time.

• $14.50 per hour.
• 3pm to 9pm; Monday - Friday.

Porter Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Retirees encouraged to apply.
• One (1) year experience performing industrial or hotel cleaning or

equivalent, preferably in a hospital or nursing home environment. * Must be able to speak, read, write English. Porter Working Conditions:

• Bending, standing, sitting, and moving intermittently during working hours.
• Must assist in the evacuation of residents. Subject to long periods of

standing. * Must be able to lift laundry, furniture, equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of twenty five (50) pounds. Porter Job Summary:

• Vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Strip and refinish floor surfaces.
• Dispose of refuse and trash in accordance with established sanitation

procedures.

• Clean floors and stairwells to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping.
• Set-up for special events, moving furniture and fixtures.
• Transport linen from all floors to laundry facilities.
• Operate pressure cleaning equipment.
