This role involves working in a dynamic medical environment, where you will be responsible for providing diagnostic imaging services. The position requires flexibility to cover holidays and on-call shifts as needed to support the unit's demands.

Key Responsibilities of the CT Technologist

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Position patients appropriately, ensuring safe handling.
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping within EPIC.
• Ensure a clean and safe scanning environment.

Requirements of the CT Technologist

• NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position).
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Injection therapy certification as stated on the license.
• Two (2) years' experience.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
• Telemetry experience.
