Responsibilities Perform advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgical procedures utilizing state-of-the-art instrumentation and techniques. Collaborate closely with emergency clinicians, specialty partners, and technical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. Diagnose and evaluate complex cases using digital radiography, CT, ultrasound systems, and minimally invasive modalities. Oversee anesthesia monitoring, pain management, and transfusion therapy to maximize patient safety and comfort. Contribute to hospital growth by managing a high-volume surgical caseload and meeting immediate referral demands. Mentor and support veterinary teams, fostering clinical excellence and professional development. Promote a culture rooted in compassion, preparedness, support, and clinical excellence among staff and clients. Must-Have Skills DVM (or equivalent) from an accredited veterinary school. Board-certified (DACVS) or residency-trained and board-eligible in veterinary surgery. Proven experience in advanced veterinary surgical techniques and procedures. Strong ability to interpret diagnostic imaging (CT, ultrasound, radiography, endoscopy). Exceptional communication skills with a collaborative and professional approach. Nice-to-Have Skills Interest or experience in mentorship, clinical leadership, or team development. Familiarity with minimally invasive surgical procedures and advanced instrumentation (LigaSure, GIA staplers). Expertise in managing pain and anesthesia for complex, high-risk cases.
