Dialysis TechnicianShift Information: DaysCertifications/Requirements:General Certifications: BLS/BCLSDialysis Certifications: BONENT, CCHTJob Description:We are seeking experienced Dialysis Technicians with current dialysis certification and AHA Provider Level BLS. The successful candidates will provide specialized direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments, monitoring patients throughout treatments, and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain technical knowledge and ability to manage dialysis equipment in collaboration with the Biomedical Team.Understand and apply infection prevention protocols for dialysis biomedical equipment.Perform daily and intermittent water room checks, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.Conduct monthly water room disinfection as required based on testing results.Record equipment status, repairs, and regulatory documentation accurately.Interview patients and collect assessment data, including vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight) for treatment records.Set up patient stations, including chair, supplies, and machine pre-treatment, and input data into the machine.Tear down and clean machines post-treatment.Cannulate patient access and remove needles upon treatment completion.Initiate and perform treatments, collect lab specimens, and prepare heparin for catheter flush.Perform catheter care, access catheter, flush, and heparinize catheter as needed.Conduct water, dialysate, and machine safety checks.Collect LAL, water, and dialysate samples for testing.Inventory and order medical supplies.Monitor vascular access and perform data collection.Participate in departmental performance improvement, education, and training.Certification and Licensure:Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (NNCC or BONENT) requiredAHA approved CPR or BLS certification requiredAdditional Requirements:Holiday coverage is required.Minimum Years of Experience: Less than 1 yearClient Details Address: 1000 Mineral Point Ave State: WI Zip Code: 53548
