About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-17:30 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the cardiovascular specialty License: Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required Certifications: Must obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or graduate from an accredited Allied Health Program Description: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals. They perform diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist. This includes invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures. Through subjective data collection and recording, the technologist obtains information. This information is used to establish a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis for each patient. Call commitment is 1 week night and 1 weekend per month. Candidates must have at least 2 years in the cardiovascular specialty. Floating to other units may be required. Number of beds in the facility is not specified. Candidates with pending state licenses may be reviewed. The work schedule for this position includes specific days and hours. The facility uses an electronic medical record system. Scrub colors and dress code are not specified.
