This Licensed Massage Therapist position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor role, with flexible full or part-time options. The therapist will primarily work within a spa or wellness center environment, providing skilled massage therapy services to clients through scheduled appointments. This role emphasizes client assessment, personalized treatment planning, and maintaining a high standard of sanitation and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Assess clients’ needs and conditions
- Provide skilled massage therapy treatments
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain sanitation and hygiene standards
- Keep accurate client records
- Schedule and manage client appointments
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Maintain and care for therapy equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in massage therapy
- Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) credential
- Proficiency in Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage techniques
- Strong client communication skills
- Knowledge of human anatomy
- Effective time management
- Customer service orientation
