Respiratory Therapist - Travel Location: Peoria, Illinois Duration: 13 weeks Workload: 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts Employment Type: Travel Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in acute care settings, including evaluations, treatment, and procedures per guidelines. Administer a variety of respiratory and cardiology modalities. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment. Perform arterial puncture and sample analysis per procedural guidelines. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare personnel to optimize continuity of care. Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support. Qualifications Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience. BLS, ACLS mandatory; PALS and NRP may be required in certain areas. NBRC and RRT certification required (additional certifications may be needed prior to assignment). Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
