Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Amplify Data-Plane team. AWS Amplify is a full-stack platform designed to simplify the creation, deployment, and management of modern web and mobile applications. You will have the opportunity to shape direct Customer experience by enabling the Rust-based data-plane with features and improvements for developers. Key job responsibilitiesLead backend data-plane architecture design for large-scale applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build intuitive user experiences for developers deploying full-stack web and mobile applications on AWS Amplify. Mentor junior engineers, contribute to code reviews, and help foster a culture of innovation and engineering excellence. Work closely with partners and peers to implement and enhance features that provide a delightful and efficient developer experience. Stay current with industry trends and best practices, continually improving processes and technologies used in software development. Participate in the end-to-end deployment lifecycle of features, from ideation to monitoring performance in production environments. You will design and develop features that empower customer web sites and applications directly. Basic qualifications- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field- Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePreferred qualification - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
