Wholesale Field Auditor

Role Description

The Wholesale Field Auditor is responsible for ensuring dealer compliance with Daimler Truck Financial Services USA LLC (DTFS) credit and operational policies by conducting:

• Physical Audits (Class I)
• Book Audits (Class II)

This role protects company collateral and minimizes credit risk through the following activities:

• On-site inventory verification
• Reviewing dealer financial and transactional records
• Identifying audit irregularities and exceptions
• Supporting specialized audit functions including:
• Bank Cut Off (BCO)
• Limited Financial Reviews (LFR)
• Pledge line audits
• Lease line audits
• New acquisitions
• Reviewing, reconciling, and validating third-party audit results for U.S. and Canadian dealers
• Researching, documenting, and resolving audit exceptions
• Identifying collateral deficiencies, inventory discrepancies, and potential Sold Out of Trust (SOT) situations

This position may be based anywhere within the contiguous United States; however, candidates must reside within reasonable proximity to a major airport to support extensive nationwide travel (approximately 95%).

Qualifications

• BS/BA and prefer 2-4 years of relevant experience or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Minimum of one year of field audit experience
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of dealer personnel and business partners
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to travel approximately 95%; candidates must reside within reasonable proximity to a major airport

Requirements

• Experience in financial services, commercial lending, wholesale finance, collections, or credit operations
• Experience conducting inventory audits, collateral audits, field examinations, or compliance reviews
• Knowledge of floorplan financing, dealer operations, and secured collateral
• Experience with Alfa, DIFM, WFS, Digital Audit, or similar systems
• Experience within a captive finance company, commercial bank, or transportation finance organization
• Knowledge of the trucking, transportation, automotive, or heavy equipment industries
