Analyst III, Adaptive Planning Systems

Job Description The Senior Systems Analyst will serve as the primary architect and lead System Administrator for the X-energy financial engine, owning the end-to-end management and evolution of the Workday Adaptive Planning platform. Responsibilities include designing complex financial models, managing data integration with systems like Deltek Costpoint, Workday HCM, and automating FP&A and Operations workflows for global forecasting capabilities. Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities Lead the system administration, roadmap management, and architectural evolution of the Workday Adaptive Planning platform. Design and maintain complex financial models, reports, dashboards, and templates to support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), rolling forecasts, and ongoing financial reviews. Perform Administrator functions such as maintaining the models, dimensions and management of user access. Manage and test data integration between Adaptive Planning and external systems (Deltek, Workday HCM, Excel) using APIs, OfficeConnect, and ETL tools; includes connection review, data flow validation, SQL column verification, loader/mapping maintenance, task scheduling, and troubleshooting. Automate FP&A workflows and provide technical support and training to global platform users. Manage training of new system users. Maintain documentation regarding FP&A system related processes. Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Job Profile Minimum Qualifications Active Workday Adaptive Planning Certification. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-growth technology or startup environment. Proven experience building complex financial models from scratch within the Workday Adaptive Planning environment. Professional experience in a Finance or accounting-focused business role. Technical proficiency in advanced sheets, assumptions, and formulas within Adaptive Planning. Experience leveraging AI tools, such as Gemini, to automate or optimize system workflows. Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end system implementations or major platform upgrades.
