Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Patient Evaluations Assess patients' needs and develop individualized therapy plans to help them achieve their functional and mobility goals.
- Administer Therapeutic Procedures Implement evidence-based interventions to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living performance.
- Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team Work closely with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and coordinated patient care.
- Educate Patients and Families Offer education, training, and support to patients and their families to encourage continued progress and independence at home.
- Monitor and Document Progress Track patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal recovery and results.
Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license (Texas)
- NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) required
- Previous clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet each patient's unique needs in a fast-paced environment
