Production Home Building Manager (Back End Builder)

General Function Under the supervision of the Regional Back End Production Manager, the Back-End Production Manager leads and manages the back-end production team to deliver on‑time, on-budget homes and a world‑class customer experience. The BEPM drives the team from drywall through post‑close in a safe and clean environment. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Staffing and training production team with emphasis on back‑end production. Monitoring customer move‑in scores related to production team. Tracking key metrics: cycle time, variance, quality, scheduling, and attention to detail from drywall through completion and warranty post‑closing. Attending all required internal meetings. Developing professional growth plans for direct report team members. Handling customer escalations during construction and warranty. Participating in quality improvement and cost‑reduction efforts. Quarterly safety audit and reporting to ensure safety standards are met in the field. Conducting field audit of accuracy to processes and checklists, including the "Double Check" checklist before the Welcome Home Celebration. Ensuring completion and accuracy of key phase checklists. Following up on trade contractor issues and holding them accountable to phase scopes of work. Fostering a team environment between front‑end and back‑end production teams. Completing additional projects assigned by Regional Production Manager. Prerequisites for Success Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years’ experience in the home‑building industry. Technical construction ability to manage construction resources and diagnose/resolve field problems, with strong emphasis on customer communication and experience. Strong people‑skills to manage conflicts articulately and professionally with customers, employees, city inspectors, and trades or vendors. Ability to train trade contractors and team members on construction techniques and field problem resolution. Computer skills to help implement complex scheduling and purchasing systems. Willingness to work hard and long hours in adverse conditions, including inclement weather; may be required to work weekends. Must submit to personality profiling and random drug testing. Must hold a valid driver’s license in the state of Tennessee. Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
