Your experience may influence the work you are assigned, but you are looking to expand your expertise. -The Day-to-Day: - * Research and provide legal and regulatory analysis and advice on financial services and investment management, privacy, employment and other laws and regulations globally * Conduct legal analysis of complex topics and translating this analysis into practical and succinct legal advice * Participate in ad-hoc regulatory and business projects, which may include implementation of new legislation or regulatory requirements * Launch new regulated entities (including incorporation and licensing) * Draft or review various documents related to legal support of the business globally, which may include commercial contracts, employment agreements, investment management agreements, fund documentation, policies, business guidelines * Handle corporate law and commercial matters * Handle employment law and litigation matters * Draft, review and negotiate vendor contracts * Coordinate with external counsel on various matters * Train and mentor paralegals, fellow lawyers and business colleagues on new or changing regulations and other mattersYour Qualifications: - * Law degree from an accredited law school, with admission to a bar * 6+ years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years of experience at a mid to large sized law firm * Skill in effectively balancing business interests against legal and regulatory risks, and factoring in the bigger picture, strategic goals * Familiarity with international investment management, employment or privacy laws in various jurisdictions will be beneficial, but not mandatoryWhy Fisher Investments: -We work for a bigger purpose: bettering the investment universe.
