Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our homecare team. Posting Specifics: Shift Details: Looking for coverage on weekends Saturday/Sunday 8AM-8PM, flexible on start times and hours/every other weekends also an option. Minimum Qualifications: Current LPN License in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers. LPNs hired into hospital departments (excluding long-term care or behavioral health settings) must enroll and complete their RN within four years. Approved IV Certification, as required by facility. Clean driving record, as required by facility. Ability to connect to the company's online database twice daily, as required by facility. Patient Care Responsibilities: Supports the admission and check-in process, assisting patients and their families in understanding routines, rights, and the care setting. Helps complete necessary forms and documentation. Collects and records essential assessment data, including vital signs, height and weight, medication history, and billing details. Identifies and responds appropriately to patient pain or discomfort. Assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote comfort and independence. Prepares patients for medical or surgical interventions. Performs interventions within the LPN Scope of Practice. Supports physicians and licensed independent practitioners with treatments and procedures. Obtains and tracks laboratory specimens (e.g., venipunctures, stool, urine) for analysis. Prepares, administers, and manages medications (oral, IM, SQ, rectal, intradermal) in accordance with protocols. Helps maintain supplies and ensures proper stocking and organization. Physical Requirements Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.) May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time. For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
