Ymca Lifeguard

The YMCA Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all members and guests using the aquatic facilities. Lifeguards create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment by maintaining constant surveillance, enforcing pool rules, responding to emergencies, and providing exceptional member service aligned with the YMCA's mission and core values.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor swimmers and ensure their safety at all times
• Enforce pool rules and regulations
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe pool environment
• Communicate effectively with members and staff
• Attend regular training sessions and stay up-to-date on lifeguarding techniques and procedures

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Shifts: Varying hours Monday-Saturday

Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Possess a current lifeguard certification or willing to obtain
• Strong swimming skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
