About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project/Program Manager to lead complex, high-visibility technology initiatives in a highly matrixed environment. This role will serve as a key coordination point between business and technology teams, ensuring multiple workstreams remain aligned, deliverables are completed on schedule, and program objectives are achieved within approved scope and resources.

The ideal candidate is a strong cross-functional leader and stakeholder manager with experience leading large-scale programs, managing multiple concurrent workstreams, and communicating effectively with senior leadership. Experience within healthcare, health plans, payers, insurance, TPA, PBM, claims, enrollment, or benefits administration is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical coordination point for complex projects and programs involving multiple business and technology stakeholders.

• Lead multiple projects and concurrent workstreams while maintaining alignment with overall program objectives.

• Own program integration across workstreams, ensuring dependencies, risks, milestones, and deliverables are actively managed.

• Coordinate business and technology partners to ensure deliverables are completed, reviewed, and approved according to established project schedules.

• Manage resources across multiple delivery partners while maintaining approved scope, timelines, and budgets/hours.

• Provide strong cross-functional leadership across business, technology, operations, and external delivery teams.

• Establish accountability for project milestones, dependencies, action items, and deliverables.

• Identify and escalate risks, issues, and decisions requiring leadership attention.

• Lead stakeholder communications and maintain alignment across highly matrixed teams.

• Mentor team members and provide feedback to promote a high-performing project/program environment.

• Lead governance forums, steering committees, project reviews, and executive-level status reporting as required.

• Prepare executive presentations, program updates, dashboards, and status reports.

• Support system implementations, business transformation initiatives, and other enterprise-level technology programs.

• Ensure project activities remain aligned with organizational priorities, governance standards, and approved scope.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Business, Technology, Project Management, or a related field.

• 5+ years of relevant project/program management experience ; candidates without a degree should have 7+ years of related experience.

• Senior-level experience leading complex projects or programs with multiple concurrent workstreams.

• Demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence business and technology partners.

• Proven leadership experience in a highly matrixed organization.

• Demonstrated ownership of program integration, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables.

• Strong experience managing project scope, resources, schedules, risks, and issues.

• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of project/program management experience for Principal-level scope.

• Experience leading large-scale, complex programs with multiple concurrent workstreams.

• Experience leading system implementations or business transformation programs .

• Experience establishing or leading governance forums and steering committees .

• Experience preparing and presenting executive-level reporting .

• Experience working with senior executives and high-visibility enterprise initiatives.

• Healthcare industry experience, particularly within:

  • Health plans

  • Payers

  • Insurance

  • Third-Party Administrators (TPA)

  • Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM)

  • Claims

  • Enrollment

  • Benefits administration
