Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. This role involves supervising and directing the activities of various levels of appointed nursing staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in patient care.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Acute care facility experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required

Essential Functions:

• Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
• Develop a care plan that prescribes interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
• Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe health environment.
• Evaluate the progress towards attaining defined outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers in delivering care that ensures a safe and healing environment.
• Provide educational opportunities for patients and families, as well as team members.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately and coordinate the duties of healthcare team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Organizational Requirements:

All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with exemptions available for medical and religious reasons. Participation in E-Verify will be required.

To succeed in this role, candidates must have a minimum of two years of recent nursing experience, current BLS certification, and a valid nursing license appropriate for the state of assignment. Previous experience with electronic medical records systems is essential, and the ability to float between medical-surgical and telemetry units is required.
