Summary:The duties include but are not limited to, assisting with cash and check deposits, processing and distribution of daily income reports, mail opening and sorting, document coding and data entry.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Create batchesDevelop and distribute various inter-departmental reportsReceive currency, coins and checks for batch total reconciliationDeposit checks and money orders utilizing desktop banking softwarePrepare cash deposit slipsProcess credit card refunds utilizing the database and vendor websitesPrepare foreign cash for exchangeAssist Accounting Department with bank statement reconciliationAssist with mail sorting and batchingAssists with Mail Center projectsPerform other tasks as assignedMust be able to work overtime when necessaryTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:Type at least 35 words per minute10-key calculator by touch, 20 keys per minuteProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelListening and comprehension skillsMechanically inclinedEDUCATION:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferredEXPERIENCE:One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS:The individual must possess the ability to read and interpret documents including but not limited to safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.The individual must also possess the ability to effectively communicate information among peers one-on-one.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to understand and carry out written, verbal, and/or demonstrated instructionsAbility to handle conflict resolutionAbility to work alone as well as part of a team.Ability to perform repetitive work.Be vigilant and concentrate.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Physical activity includes, but is not limited to: opening, pulling, pushing, reaching above shoulder, reaching below waist, reaching waist to shoulder; repetitive motion wrist, hands, arms, and/or fingers when using computer; standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling.While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to sit much of the day.
