Senior Accountant

Assist with the review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts as needed. Ensure compliance with regulations from NCUA and other applicable regulatory bodies. Prepare the Call Report and other regulatory filings. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making. Review and improve accounting processes, internal controls, reconciliations, and operational efficiencies. Coordinate internal and external audits and provide required documentation. Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, prepaids, and fixed assets. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records while maintaining timely internal and external financial reporting. Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing oversight, feedback, and review of work completed by staff accountants and accounting specialists. Support all accounting functions throughout the fiscal year, including year-end close activities. Requirements Five years to eight years of similar or related experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Seven (7) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
