Harris Health System is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for the night shift at Ben Taub Hospital . In this role, you will ensure safe, effective, and optimal medication management across all dimensions of patient care.

You will interpret and evaluate medication orders, support clinical decision-making, and perform key pharmacy functions such as order entry, pharmacokinetics, IV-to-PO conversions, and therapeutic interchange . You will also participate in multidisciplinary rounds , provide direct patient care, and contribute to staff education and training. This role includes mentoring pharmacy interns, technicians, and residents.

• Education :
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school
• Licensure/Certification :
  • Texas Pharmacist License (or must obtain within 90 days)
  • Texas Pharmacist Preceptor Certification (within 180 days)
  • ACPE IV Sterile Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required for inpatient roles within 6 months)
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Certification preferred
• Experience :
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive, relevant experience in:
    • Outpatient/Retail setting (ACS roles), OR
    • Inpatient hospital setting (IP roles)
  • PGY1 residency highly preferred
• Communication Skills :
  • Strong written communication (reports)
• Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in MS Word and computer applications
• Knowledge/Skills :
  • Analytical and research skills
  • Medical terminology
  • Statistical and mathematical knowledge
  • Clinical problem-solving and design skills
• Work Schedule :
