Registered Nurse - SICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Surgical/Trauma ICU Registered Nurse provides high-acuity critical care nursing for adult patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced interventions. You will deliver safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients continuously and monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, and condition changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to protocols and provider orders.
• Perform post-procedure and post-injury nursing care, including airway, bleeding, and wound monitoring.
• Coordinate care plans with physicians, respiratory therapy, and allied health staff to support rapid clinical decisions.
• Document thoroughly in Epic and maintain accurate charting of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Participate in facility float assignments within scope of practice as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in a U.S. state, with license in-hand by the required submission timeline.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Have Epic experience or demonstrate recent proficiency with Epic charting workflows.
• Demonstrate experience in SICU/trauma or surgical adult critical care settings.
• Prefer a BSN degree.
• Be able to comply with travel and return/staffing eligibility policies, including applicable float requirements.
