• Shift: 7 am – 7 pm, 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off schedule
• Hours/Week: Approximately 36 hours per week

• Licenses/Certifications: Alabama Medical License or eligible, Board-Certified in Internal Medicine
• Experience: Residency trained in Internal Medicine; prior hospitalist experience preferred

What You’ll Do

• Provide inpatient coverage for adult patients in a busy hospital setting
• Manage unassigned ED patients requiring hospital admission
• Collaborate with intensivists on adult ICU admissions and care
• Co-manage transfer patients and support consults in-hospital
• Participate in team-based patient care alongside APPs and other specialists
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and coordination
• Support a team-oriented, flexible schedule in a renowned regional referral center

What You Need

• Alabama medical license or eligible for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Minimum 1-2 years of hospitalist or internal medicine experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
