Exhibitor Portal Regency International Product Designer / Product Developer, Holiday & Seasonal Product Designer / Product Developer, Holiday & Seasonal Employer: Regency International Date Posted: Oct 7th, 2026 Department: Overview We are seeking a highly creative, trend-forward, commercially minded Product Designer / Product Developer to help shape & execute the creative direction of our Holiday and Seasonal décor collections. This individual will originate product ideas, develop cohesive collections, and translate seasonal concepts into commercially relevant product programs. The ideal candidate combines strong creative instincts, commercial awareness, and experience in the Holiday or Gift industry. They should have their finger firmly on the pulse of the market, with a strong understanding of emerging trends, competitive activity, and what resonates with customers. They should be naturally curious, continuously seeking new ideas and inspiration, and able to translate marketplace trends into original, commercially relevant products and collections. The role works closely with buying, sales, sourcing, and leadership, taking ideas from early trend and concept development through product design and execution. Description Trend Forecasting & Market Intelligence Maintain a deep and current understanding of the Holiday and Gift market, including emerging trends, colors, materials, finishes, motifs, styling, and consumer preferences Continuously monitor key competitors, including their assortments, new introductions, pricing, merchandising, and overall creative direction Identify emerging trends and market opportunities early and translate them into relevant product and collection opportunities Conduct ongoing market research through retail, trade shows, social media, trend resources, travel, vendor visits, and other relevant sources Regularly bring forward insights, inspiration, and new ideas based on market and competitive observations Share trend and competitive findings with leadership and the product team to help inform seasonal direction and product development Seasonal Theme & Color Development Participate in collaborative planning discussions with leadership, buying, and sales to help shape seasonal themes and color direction Translate trend and competitive insights, business strategy, customer feedback, and sales performance into workable visual and product direction Develop color palettes, material stories, and collection concepts based on agreed seasonal direction Create visual boards and internal presentations to communicate themes, color direction, materials, and collection concepts Consolidate input from multiple stakeholders and turn it into clear, actionable product direction Maintain consistency of themes and color stories across product categories Product Design & Development Design original Holiday and Gift products, including ornaments, florals, stems, tabletop décor, home accents, and other relevant categories Develop coordinated collections rather than individual, disconnected items Generate original product concepts through sketching, drawing, digital design, or other visual development methods Bring fresh ideas and creative thinking to the development process rather than relying primarily on existing market products for inspiration Select new items from vendor showrooms and adapt them to fit company themes and collection direction Modify vendor designs to align with company color direction, aesthetic, and brand positioning Work directly with vendors on materials, finishes, scale, packaging, and cost targets Review samples and revisions and provide clear direction through the development process Partner with sourcing and purchasing teams to ensure manufacturability and margin requirements Ensure collections are appropriate and commercially relevant for our customer base across wholesale, key accounts, and e-commerce channels Vendor, Market & Travel Responsibilities Travel domestically and internationally to vendors, factories, trade shows, and markets Use vendor visits, trade shows, and market travel to identify new capabilities, materials, techniques, product opportunities, and sources of inspiration Build and maintain strong working relationships with development partners and suppliers Evaluate vendor capabilities and identify opportunities to expand or improve product development Qualifications 5+ years of product design or product development experience specifically within the Holiday or Gift industry Strong understanding of the Holiday and Gift market, including trends, competitors, product categories, and customer expectations Demonstrated experience researching and interpreting market trends and competitive assortments and translating those insights into successful product collections Strong creative and design ability with an excellent understanding of color, materials, proportion, composition, and trend application Experience developing cohesive themed collections, not just individual products Ability to translate creative ideas into commercially viable products Ability to visually communicate product concepts through sketching, digital design, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent design tools Experience working directly with overseas factories and vendors Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and seasonal deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr Dallas Market Center
