Position Summary

The Supervisor plays a key role in supporting Operations Managers and Coordinators with project management, account development, and customer satisfaction. As the primary point of contact for customers, the Supervisor ensures a thorough understanding of project requirements and maintains clear communication throughout. This role involves providing on-site supervision for Team Leaders and Inspectors, ensuring the team meets client expectations and project requirements. The Supervisor is also responsible for verifying the accuracy of project documents and stepping in to fulfill the responsibilities of Team Leaders and Inspectors as needed.

Position Responsibilities

• Meet customer expectations for production, quality, and delivery timelines while overseeing all aspects of assigned projects.


• Enhance customer service through regular interaction and resolution of complaints through problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis methods.


• Support Operations Manager and Operations Coordinator in driving continuous improvement initiatives.


• Collect and submit key performance indicator data accurately and on time.


• Submit client billing information promptly, as required.


• Possess a comprehensive understanding of Team Leader and Inspector job requirements.


• Develop and refine standardized work instructions to enhance customer and supplier inspection and rework projects. Verify and correct project documentation as needed.


• Conduct layered audits (People, Parts, Process, Paperwork, Protection).


• Maintain appropriate staffing levels for projects.


• Assist in developing and implementing training for Team Leaders and Inspectors.


• Evaluate Team Leaders, Inspectors and Associate team members for efficiency, accuracy, and competence, provide recommendations for retention and advancement, and recommend disciplinary actions as needed.


• Ensure work areas are clean and organized (5S).


• Ensure compliance with Global SQ and client policies and procedures.


Position Qualifications - KSA (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma or demonstrated ability to perform required functions.


• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and apply written work instructions.


• Familiarity with using powered and non-powered hand tools (preferred).

• Experience with basic gauges (calipers, micrometers, scales) (preferred).

• Previous manufacturing or inspection experience (preferred).


• Able to multi-task, prioritize activities and meet deadlines.


• Capable of effectively working in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexibility to work multiple shifts.


• Capable of working with minimum supervision.

• Willingness to travel to project locations as needed

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.


• Flexibility in performing all other duties assigned.


• Valid driver's license (preferred).

• Ability to pass a criminal background check, Motor Vehicle Report and initial and subsequent drug screenings.


Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to travel as needed.

• Corrected 20/20 vision and ability to distinguish colors (red, yellow, green).

• Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and handle weights of 10-50 pounds for extended periods of time.


• Good hand/eye coordination and dexterity, with visual acuity for precise tasks.

• Ability to work around dust, mist, vapors and fumes while using proper PPE.
