Veterinary Technician Supervisor

VCA Knowles Snapper Creek Animal Hospital is seeking a talented and experienced Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our leadership team full time. Will consider experienced applications for lead roles.

We are a 24/7 Emergency & Primary Care hospital staffed with an amazing team of compassionate and experienced veterinarians, highly skilled technicians/ assistants and an awesome team of well-trained support staff. Applicants must have a positive attitude and excellent work ethic with 2-3 years of veterinary experience preferred. Must be self-motivated and able to think on your feet.

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead and support our specialty hospital's nursing team. This role calls for a leader who is equal parts clinical expert and people-first manager - someone who leads with empathy , communicates clearly , and knows how to bring out the best in a team . The ideal candidate has a strong track record of building trust, strengthening collaboration, and creating a workplace where technicians feel heard, supported, and set up to succeed. As Veterinary Technician Supervisor , your responsibilities will include:

• Directing work flow on the floor

• Cultivate an engaging work environment and maintain our strong hospital culture

• Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital

• Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates

• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills

• Conduct staff meetings

• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience

• Mentoring technicians within the department

• Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner

• Refining and implementing protocols

• Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

Schedule: Full Time, weekend rotation, days vary.

Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 / hr based on skill set, experience, and licensure status.

Qualifications:

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT (FL CVT Preferred)

• 5+ years of clinical experience

• Team leadership experience

• Passion for Veterinary Medicine

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
