Hourly Wage Estimate: $32.62 - $48.93 / hour Specialty Surgery Center is a fully accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center located in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is part of HCA Healthcare. Job Summary As a Certified Surgical Tech, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will assist with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in the operating room. Duties include direct patient care, operating room preparation and turnover, maintaining asepsis, data collection, and collaboration with the RN. What you will do in this role Demonstrate practical, technical, or specialized skills required of a surgical technician in accordance with the Association of Surgical Technologists. Assist in preparing the operative suite by checking, gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments. Maintain surgical asepsis when handling instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings. Assist in operating room turnover between cases, disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning equipment and surfaces. Prepare the procedure room for the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, pulling cases accurately, and reporting any needed items to the supervisor. Qualifications you will need Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred). State regulatory requirement may also apply. Surgical Tech Certification. At least one year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center. Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).
