Job Description

Our client, a leading global media company, is seeking a Front End Designer to join their Marketing Creative team. This role sits at the intersection of creative design, email marketing, and front-end execution, supporting subscription, membership, and consumer engagement initiatives across a portfolio of world-renowned media brands.

The ideal candidate is a highly creative, hands-on designer with deep expertise in email marketing, lifecycle CRM campaigns, responsive HTML email development, and digital asset creation. This individual will play a key role in developing customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and win-back campaigns while ensuring exceptional user experience and brand consistency.

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid: Monday-Thursday Onsite, Friday Remote)

\n

Pay Rate: $45-$47.50/hour

\n

Schedule: 40 hours/week | 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Design and develop responsive HTML email campaigns optimized across major email clients and devices.
\n
• Create engaging lifecycle marketing assets supporting acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, and reactivation campaigns.
\n
• Build and maintain modular email templates and scalable design systems within CRM platforms.
\n
• Design digital marketing assets including display banners, paid social creative, animations, and multimedia content.
\n
• Apply HTML and CSS expertise to build, troubleshoot, and optimize email and web-based assets.
\n
• Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure proper rendering, functionality, and performance across browsers and email clients.
\n
• Collaborate with creative leadership, project managers, and marketing stakeholders to execute high-performing campaigns.
\n
• Analyze campaign performance insights and recommend creative enhancements to improve engagement and conversion results.
\n
• Ensure all creative work aligns with brand standards, messaging guidelines, and user experience best practices.
\n
• Stay current on email marketing trends, CRM best practices, front-end development techniques, and emerging AI-enabled creative tools.
\n
• Organize and manage creative files, templates, code assets, and project documentation.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 4+ years of experience in digital design, email marketing design, CRM creative, or related fields.
\n
• Proven experience designing and coding responsive HTML email campaigns.
\n
• Strong understanding of email-specific HTML/CSS constraints and cross-client rendering requirements.
\n
• Experience creating lifecycle marketing campaigns and customer journey communications.
\n
• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), and related design tools.
\n
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
\n
• Experience designing digital advertising assets including display banners and paid social creative.
\n
• Strong portfolio showcasing email campaigns, CRM marketing, digital design, and front-end execution work.
\n
• Excellent understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and user experience principles.
\n
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
\n
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Iterable, or similar CRM platforms.
\n
• Experience with email testing platforms such as Litmus or Email on Acid.
\n
• Knowledge of accessibility and ADA-compliant email design practices.
\n
• Motion graphics and animation experience.
\n
• Background supporting consumer brands, media, publishing, subscription services, retail, or e-commerce organizations.
\n
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design and production workflows.
\n
