Key Job Responsibilities Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Actively monitor and report outcomes for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities. Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents. Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancements and increase efficiency. Serve as department’s liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert, keeping site leadership informed on key issues, strategies, and performance. Identify, promote, and implement security best practices while effectively partnering with internal customers to evaluate current and future security needs, processes, and initiatives, incident response planning, facilitation, and management. Domestic regional travel up to 50% of the time when applicable. Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach; stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift; work in variable noise, temperature, and weather conditions; continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable. Cover 24/7 operations and be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. A Day in the Life As a SLP Expert, you will join a team of S&LP professionals providing security as a service to business customers across multiple business units within a dedicated geographical area. You perform physical security audits, investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events. During investigations you collect information by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews. Your findings contribute to identifying vulnerabilities and driving mitigating measures. You play a key role in maintaining the physical integrity of sites by auditing and monitoring the health status of systems and, together with subject matter experts and external suppliers, maintaining functionality. You identify and act upon initiatives improving the physical security infrastructure and contribute to budgetary planning for external suppliers. You interact daily with external security service providers to ensure delivery of high-quality security services and a smooth customer experience. You work on multiple high‑impact initiatives/projects, collaborating with stakeholders across organizational levels to deliver measurable outcomes through effective project management. Finally, you deliver loss prevention‑related education and awareness programs to teams across all management levels and manage the implementation of the S&LP plan. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of relevant professional or military experience. 2+ years of security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, or law enforcement, or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in implementing metric‑based strategies utilizing continuous improvement concepts. Experience in physical security systems maintenance/implementation and coordinating scope of work with security vendors. 2+ years of operational experience in risk management, audit, data analytics, inventory control, quality assurance, retail, warehouse, distribution center services, delivery service, or supply chain. Investigative interviewing experience; relevant certifications such as Loss Prevention Qualified, Certified Protection Professional, Loss Prevention Certified, Certified Forensic Interviewer, Certified Threat Assessment Certification, or others. Workplace incident mitigation or de‑escalation and business continuity planning experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel pivot tables and chart/graphic development.
