Resumen del Puesto

En este puesto, será responsable de contribuir al bienestar animal en un nivel básico. Aprenderá sobre los distintos factores que inciden en el bienestar y la salud de nuestras aves.

Responsabilidades

Limpieza de las casetas y de los equipos.
Control de plagas.
Mantenimiento y funcionamiento adecuados de las líneas de alimentación y de agua.
Recolección y manejo del estiércol.
Supervisar y controlar, a nivel básico, las actividades que afectan el bienestar de las aves,como la iluminación, la ventilación y la temperatura.
Adquirir conocimientos básicos sobre el mantenimiento y la reparación de equipos, incluyendo líneas de alimentación y agua, bandas transportadoras de huevos, bandas de estiércol, entre otros.
Participar en la recolección de huevos puestos fuera de los lugares designados.
Realizar las actividades diarias y semanales correspondientes al puesto a un nivel básico.
Realizar otras tareas que le sean asignadas.

Requisitos

Tener al menos 18 años de edad.
Disponibilidad para trabajar en horarios flexibles, incluidos fines de semana y días festivos, según las necesidades de la empresa.
Conocimientos básicos sobre el bienestar animal y el cumplimiento de los estándares de cuidado establecidos por Herbruck’s.
No tener contacto con aves, cerdos ni ganado bovino (vacas o reses).

Requisitos Físicos

Capacidad para desempeñar las funciones esenciales del puesto, con o sin adaptaciones razonables.
Disponibilidad para trabajar en un ambiente con animales vivos, donde puede haber polvo, suciedad y temperaturas altas o bajas, según la temporada.
Capacidad para permanecer de pie y/o caminar durante períodos prolongados sobre pisos de concreto.
Capacidad para agacharse, inclinarse, subir y levantar objetos de al menos 25 libras (11.3 kg) de manera continua durante la jornada laboral y de hasta 50 libras (22.7 kg) ocasionalmente.

Seguridad

Cumplir con todas las normas de seguridad de la empresa y con los protocolos de bioseguridad.
Utilizar correctamente el equipo de protección personal (EPP).
Conocer los procedimientos de Bloqueo y Etiquetado (Lockout/Tagout) y contar con la autorización correspondiente cuando sea necesario.
Reportar cualquier situación o inquietud relacionada con la seguridad a su gerente.
