RN (Registered Nurse) Ortho Med Surg DAYS

Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift This full‑time position requires 36 hours per week and offers a convenient day shift schedule, with potential overtime and additional shift coverage opportunities. Responsibilities Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards and philosophy. Offer professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, using Patient‑Centered Care principles as a foundation. Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times. Recognize signs and symptoms of stroke and initiate a stroke alert; verbally communicate the stroke alert process. Assist the ICU nurse with telemedicine consults and physician examinations/evaluations. Assist in transport of inpatient stroke alert patients to and from CT scan. Maintain currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1‑hour online training. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program. Preferably one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care setting. BLS (current upon hire). ACLS and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment) in the required specialty. Current Florida nursing license.
