Robotics Software Engineer

Location Onsite/Redmond, WA Typical Day The role will consist of integrating simulation environments and benchmarking robotics models (~30-40%), training and evaluating models (~20%), and resolving technical issues such as debugging, patching, and supporting customer tickets (~50%). Job Description The AI Engineer- Robotics is responsible for creating, deploying, and maintaining AI and machine learning models in support of Embodied AI and Robotics research. Ideal Background A candidate familiar with training robotic models such as vision‑language‑action models, diffusion models, and reinforcement learning policies and with either simulation environments or robotic hardware for system integration. Job Responsibilities Fine‑tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects Architect, design, and implement our test automation infrastructure Develop training and evaluation pipelines using Azure Machine Learning Analyze and refine training datasets for robotic and AI applications Develop tools to provide fast deployment of novel algorithms in simulation and on hardware Integrate robotic control and perception stacks with simulation frameworks Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field required 2-4 years’ experience required A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design Experience with using simulation environments or robotic hardware Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems Experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution Background in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch Top 3 Must‑Have HARD Skills Minimum 2 years' experience with Python Minimum 2 years' experience with PyTorch Minimum 2 years' experience with ROS2 Salary Range $83,000 - $86,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
