Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Portland, ME. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role requires flexibility to care for varied patient populations across adult acute and critical care and some pediatric and neonatal settings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state RRT license in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience, including tertiary/teaching hospital or level 1 trauma experience.
• BLS required.
• NRP required for NICU experience.
• Experience with adult acute and critical care required. Experience in acute care pediatrics, NICU/PICU, and ED required or strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with ventilators and respiratory equipment including Drager V500/VN500, Hamilton T1/C1, Respironics V30/V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS preferred.
• Experience with cardiothoracic patients preferred.
• Experience working in a team covering a large facility and varied daily assignments.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 07:00-19:00.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Weekend hours: 36 (unless otherwise noted).
• Call requirement: yes. 2 hours for the oncoming shift.
• Float requirements: may include NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, ED, and adult acute and critical care.
• EMR: EPIC.
