Polaris Tech Charter School is looking for a Certified Elementary Special Education Navigator (Teacher). They also apply the same mindset to students by encouraging them to take risks and learn from their successes and failures.

Requirements

• Certification in the subject area (South Carolina or reciprocity state)
• Power School experience
• Experience in project-based learning is preferred
• Experience with iReady is preferred
• Willingness to work with other navigators to promote interdisciplinary studies
• Ability to learn new technology tools quickly (e.g., database and web-based tools)
• Ability to support and guide parents as well as students
• Knowledge of effective and innovative instructional and student evaluation techniques
• Ability to develop effective relationships with pupils, parents, navigators, staff and the community
• Outstanding references from current and former supervisors
• Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report
