Role Description The Conference Services Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for managing the planning and execution of conferences, meetings, and special events, ensuring that all details align with client expectations and hotel standards. Daily activities include coordinating with clients to understand event requirements, creating detailed event orders, managing room setups and audiovisual needs, and overseeing food and beverage arrangements. The role collaborates closely with sales, catering, operations, and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless delivery of events and high levels of guest satisfaction. The Conference Services Manager also monitors event budgets, timelines, and service quality, addressing issues proactively and supporting continuous improvement in conference and event operations.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Convention Services and Conference Services skills to manage the full lifecycle of group events and conferences.
- Candidates should possess Meeting Planning and Event Planning skills to coordinate logistics, timelines, and resources for complex, multi-day programs.
- Candidates should possess Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service, responding to client needs, and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Experience in hotel or resort conference services, catering, or event management is highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency with event management software, property management systems, and standard office applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- Prior supervisory or team coordination experience is a plus.
- Relevant education in hospitality management, event management, or a related field is preferred.
