About the RoleEssity is looking for an experienced indirect buyer who will be responsible for executing and implementing procurement strategy in area of responsibility and building sustainable relationships with suppliersThe ideal candidate should/could live in Dover, DE or Philadelphia, PA.  We’re looking for people who embody our values, aren’t afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace. If this is you, we’d love to talk.  What You Will Do​Manage risk and lead negotiations for all local categories across locations, using appropriate e-sourcing tools and techniques. Ensuring appropriate contingency plans are in place in accordance to procurement policies and procedures.Align with requester on missing specification and clarify user requirements relating to free-text requests (one-time purchases)To support Business Partnering to drive continuous improvement through cost saving projects, organizing trials, implementing supplier changes and tracking savings Identify suppliers as per the category instructions (preferred supplier list) and execute quick RFQsEnsure compliance with Essity procedures, purchasing policy and financial instructionsDeliver Procurement Efficiency Identify and execute saving initiatives Execute and implement procurement strategy in area of responsibility Building sustainable relationships with suppliersApprove supplier request and ensure supplier compliance with local categoriesEnsure an up-to-date source list (Contract/ Catalog /Purchase Info Records) for local suppliersContribute to Procurement Excellence Who You AreA bachelor degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, technical background, procurement, or comparable professional education,3+ years of experience in similar or adequate role in procurement environmentOrganized and comfortable with ambiguityBeing able to prioritize and troubleshoot requestsStrong communication abilityGood Project Management skillsetAbility to demonstrate a strong work ethic What We Can Offer You At Essity, we believe every career is as unique as the individual and empower employees to reach their full potential in a winning culture motivated by a powerful purpose.
