Medical Assistant - CMA / MA

Job Description

Job Summary:

Providing comprehensive clinical, technical, and administrative support within a medical practice, the CMA / MA ensures efficient patient care coordination and smooth office operations. This role involves performing diagnostic tests, managing patient documentation, and delivering courteous service to patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Administer EKGs, lab testing, PFT, and audiometry as ordered by physicians.
• Admit patients, record vital signs, medical history, medication, and allergy information.
• Perform quality controls and adhere to laboratory CLIA regulations.
• Document patient treatments, telephone contacts, and complete lab accession logs accurately.
• Maintain examination rooms, stock supplies, and ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient emergencies and follow-up on test results.

Qualifications:

• Obtain certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program or possess two years of relevant experience.
• Hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Maintain BLS certification.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, phone, and computer data entry skills.
• Capable of multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment.
