Project Manager

PSR Talent Solutions is working with an established engineering consultancy to recruit a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join its growing team in Austin, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a Professional Engineer (PE) with experience delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects to take ownership of complex engineering projects while working alongside experienced technical teams across Texas. As a Water/Wastewater Project Manager you will be responsible for managing projects from planning and design through to construction support, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, supporting client relationships, and helping deliver critical water infrastructure projects across the region. This role would suit an experienced water professional who is looking to take the next step in their career, lead larger projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continued growth of a successful engineering team. What’s on Offer Hybrid (in-person and remote) working arrangement Competitive salary package based on experience Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance 401(k) with company contributions Generous paid time off (PTO) Parental leave and wellness programs Professional development support and training opportunities Performance-based bonus opportunities Career progression opportunities within a growing engineering organisation Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through design and construction support Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams including civil, environmental, structural, and technical specialists Support the design and delivery of water infrastructure projects including treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, distribution systems, and collection systems Review technical reports, engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and project documentation Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to project teams and junior engineers Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project partners Support proposal preparation, client presentations, and business development activities Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle Provide construction-phase support including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and attending project meetings Support QA/QC procedures to ensure high-quality technical deliverables Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline Professional Engineer (PE) licence in Texas or ability to obtain through reciprocity 8+ years of experience delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects Experience managing engineering projects from planning through design and construction phases Strong understanding of water and wastewater systems, including treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, distribution systems, and collection systems Experience managing project teams, budgets, schedules, and client relationships Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, or similar engineering software Experience with hydraulic modelling software such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater, or similar tools is advantageous Please note that any offer of employment will be contingent upon the successful completion of applicable pre-employment background checks and verification.
