Position: IT Consultant 2 Birth Defect Analyst

Requirements:

• 5+ years of IT/consulting experience with strong SQL development.
• 1+ year of ANSI SQL with Snowflake experience.
• Strong SQL skills including data transformation, conversion, pivots, logical assignments, views, and temporary tables.
• Experience with Cloudera/HUE SQL migration to Snowflake .
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements with business stakeholders/epidemiologists.
• Experience with data QA, validation, testing, UAT, defect tracking, and troubleshooting .
• Experience developing complex reports/dashboards for state or federal reporting .
• Public health/epidemiology or birth defect data experience preferred/required.
• Experience with State of Ohio DOH applications, MCH Integrated Data System, and Innovate Ohio Platform (IOP) is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities:-

• Convert HUE/Cloudera SQL queries to Snowflake.
• Develop complex line-list and aggregate SQL queries across multiple data sources.
• Build data-cleaning and validation queries.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists on reporting logic and requirements.
• Troubleshoot queries during UAT and document SQL logic/output.
• Support reporting, testing, data validation, and business-user training.
