Travel Respiratory Therapist – Ketchum, Idaho (13‑Week Travel Assignment) Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Ketchum, Idaho. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA/ARC) Other certifications and licenses as required for the position Summary A Registered Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. They independently assess, treat, and manage patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, including those in intensive care units and emergency situations. RRTs work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver life‑saving therapies and patient‑centered care. Essential Work Functions Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests (e.g., measuring lung capacity, collecting blood/sputum samples) Treat patients through various methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient receives the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate Observe and record patient status and progress Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care Educate patients and/or family members on medication and equipment use Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical & Functional Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position and move about, including moving equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend Must work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism Must have fine manipulation, push/pull, and movement abilities when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment Must cope with frequent contact with the public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure Must work under close supervision occasionally, and sometimes independently Must endure irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration to detail Must possess visual acuity and effective communication skills Benefits Highly competitive travel pay Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1 560 hours Life and short‑term disability coverage 401(k) matching Aggressive refer‑a‑friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Other Duties Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
