Immediate Position available for a Dredge Operator. This is a great opportunity for an experienced dredge operator to join our growing team! Excellent benefits, vacation, sick and holiday paid time off. You must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience operating a Hydraulic Dredge.
Starting Hourly Pay Range for This Position: $25.00 to $30.00. This is based on previous work experience, skills, and current certifications / professional licenses.
Responsibilities for The Dredge Operator:
- Operating and maintaining the hydraulic dredge
- Completion of Daily Dredge and Maintenance Log
- MUST be motivated and able to work independently
- Be able to communicate well with the superintendent, boat operators, dredge engineer and deck hands
- Assist in Mobilizations/Demobilizations as needed
- Duties will include cleaning equipment, check fluids and grease daily
- Position will include some miscellaneous laborer
- Position will require out of town (Florida) travel for extended periods
Requirements for The Dredge Operator:
- MUST have 5 + years plus in dredge operation experience
- Must maintain a valid Driver's license
- Experienced in Marine Construction
- Heavy equipment experience a plus
- OSHA Certifications a plus
- Boating or Equipment Certifications a plus
- Must be able to work outside for entire shift in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet) required
- Be honest, hardworking, reliable, punctual and attitude to get the job done
Physical Demands/Work Environment for The Dredge Operator:
- Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will reach with hands; Occasionally will stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell.
- Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds; Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds.
