Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (IMC) position requiring a Compact RN license and 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work in a high acuity 20-bed Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) unit within a hospital setting
• Care for critically ill adult patients using advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care including medication administration, treatments, and continuous monitoring of critically ill patients
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals on individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support
• Follow strict infection control protocols
• Willing to precept new staff as needed
• Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced rate
• Should begin discussing extension with unit manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
