Senior Quality EngineerLocation: Windsor, CT 06095Salary Range: $80K-$94KYou act as a (project) leader on improvement plans, audits and investigations.In close cooperation with the operations and engineering department, you are customer facing when needed, supplying all stakeholders with correct and timely information.From an international point of view, you take part in a very dedicated group of professionals that share best practices and expertise.As the Client representative, you implement international projects on a local level.By nature, have an inquisitive mind that helps you lead the RCCA and 8D processes.By collecting, analyzing, and reporting of data and KPI’s, you help identify trends and areas of improvement.Furthermore, you support other team members in achieving their goals and KPI’s whilst and aim for the best result possible.In our business, there is no compromise to quality, procedures, and regulations.You have a relevant education on HBO-level or higher in either Aerospace, business management or similar.You have intimate knowledge of Quality systems and tools.Experience in ISO9001 (AS9100) and/or EASA Part 145 Aerospace regulations are mandatory.An analytical mindset, capable of extracting statistics and reporting in clear and concise manners.A Continuous Improvement working experience (LEAN Manufacturing) - Previous work experience of problem-solving methods such as: Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems, evaluate, and complete improvement projects.Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Have a broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control.Have a diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation.Strong computer skills including quality applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.Specific quality registration schemes and certification processes experience (i.e., ISO9001:2008, AS9100/9110, FAA, EASA, CAAC, NADCAP)This job has limited supervisory responsibilities with respect to directing and training of other quality and associated department employees as delegated.Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, writingBachelor’s degree or relevant business experience.Minimum of 3 years’ direct experience in Quality, QMS, or RCCAYour attitude is vital in this role.We are looking for a proactive person with leadership skills to help us challenge the status quo.We are not looking for a follower, but an initiator.You inspire others to work hard and achieve the best.Client’s 5 values (Quality, Safety, Integrity, Pride & Passion and Customer Focus) are key drivers in our daily operations, meaning that we hold ourselves and everything we do to very high standards.Complete Quality Engineering assignments with minimal supervision.
